Re: introduction

Have just joined this forum having bought a 17 XE plate R sport 30 awd with 4711 miles instead of a 64 plate XF 2.2d and will be looking for any info that may be of use Welcome, Alan, I've got a 17-plate Portfolio that's done 14,500 miles, and I thought I was a light user. :P With only 4,711 miles ...

Re: Xe ownership

Another thing. My camera has never failed to come on if I have just started the car and am reversing out of my drive or whatever. However I have noticed that on the occasions that it has not come on and the sensor display shows instead, I have usually been driving slowly, then stopped and put it in...

Re: Side air vent

Yes, I did it two or three times at first.

Now my shin remembers to avoid it even if my brain doesn't.

It's sending me a twinge now as it thinks about it.

Mine's a 2018 Model Year. I expected they would have designed it away in the later versions.

Re: EX Jan 2018

my current EX and other colleague who own EX's have had hellish issues with corroded disks....i've done 28k in my EX and had to change all 4 discs and pads already I'm confused on two points: -- why do you call the car an EX? -- why are you asking for guidance on buying an XE (presumably) when you ...

Re: New member, existing owner but.....

That is annoying! They did a similar thing to me when I ordered my petrol XE in 2015 -- hence my username. The delivery dates went back from September, to October, to November, to December. At that time, petrol production was low and they were prioritising diesels which were all the rage. Aft...

The leaked report says 'could' be sold but TATA, the current owners, deny JLR is for sale.

I personally hope this is all a load of Fake News.
Hope so too, otherwise it’s the first and last Jag I’ll ever own

Re: Stop-Start. A different query

At my cars last service I asked the service manager whether the stop/start system would reduce the life of the starter motor. He said the starter motor was not involved. It was the alternator that restarted the car. He tried to explain it to me, but unfortunately as my knowledge of mechanics is negl...

Re: CTEK Battery Charger

I put up with many niggles for around 2 1/2 years with the S/S being the most annoying. Last year to now and less than 4000 miles I thought everything was going great and nothing wrong. Cured I thought and today this started with the wipers again. It had done it intermitantly in the past and just r...

I must admit even though I have spent money on it I think it will soon be finding a new owner. The replacement will not be a Jaguar either.
What replacements are you considering, Vespa?
