Re: Thoughts on awful sat nav

I too have tried every conceivable permutation in an attempt to get me to my destination without being sent off down narrow country lanes, but to no avail, the Jaguar system is, without doubt, not fit for purpose, but it could be. Jaguar are aware of the problems and should take steps to put things ...

Second XE - Prestige. 200PS Auto - Yulong White

Second XE, to see the first go back down the Gallery. I ended up with what I thought was the best XE, Ingenium Engine [200ps], a self-park facility, Xenon headlights with LED lights, front sensors, folding wing mirrors and a spare wheel; all that in a Prestige Model. Re: Thoughts on awful sat nav

Germany. The hardware is made by Bosch, the software and routing is by HERE (which is owned by a consortium consisting of Audi, BMW and Mercedes).

Your 'HERE' did not work [presumably you were trying to include a URL in your post]?

Re: Thoughts on awful sat nav

Ditto on the TomTom. I have had enough of backing-up, it sends me down lanes that anyone in their right mind would not go down. TomTom is a much more reliable beast, Jaguar SatNav is rubbish!!!!!!

Re: Anyone use the CTEK Battery Charger?

Yes, do not use the battery charger whilst driving the car, I misunderstood the operation of the CTEK Battery Charger.

The XE has a system to enable the electrics WITHOUT STARTING THE ENGINE. Cigarette Socket is live in this situation. Would not the CTEK operate in this situation?

Re: Anyone use the CTEK Battery Charger?

Hi, I wondered if you had used in the car whilst driving? As I understand it, the Alternator charges the battery BUT if you do a few short trips within a week then the Alternator doesn't have sufficient time to charge the battery. That's were the CETK comes in. You leave it, fully charged, in situ t...

Anyone use the CTEK Battery Charger?

The stop/start doesn't work after 3 weeks in South Africa. It is down to 'not enough charge in the battery', my dealer tells me. I thought of using the CTEK Battery Charger [Model number 3.8 A [UK Plug]] fitted with a cigarette socket-plug, in fact I have just ordered one from Amazon. Not that it's ...

Re: Hej from Sweden!

I get "Please enter a valid VIN." when I go to the site. I've entered my VIN three or four times but it always comes up with "Please enter a valid VIN."
