Re: Fuel gauge, strange issues.

It looks fine to me. You have a 63 litre tank. The first click off was at 57 which means 6 litres remaining which the computer equated to 48 miles. Seems spot on to me? The fuel tank capacity definitely doesn't take into account brimming the filler neck, in fact I think the manual strongly suggests ...

Re: Fuel gauge, strange issues.

I filled my tank today. it still had 48 miles left in the tank, so more than 5ltrs. Assuming a 55ltr tank a la Vespa's post above, it first clicked off at just over 57ltrs and I squeezed it to 60. (Well you have to don't you?) :o  :?   What's the issue? You have a 63 litre t...

Hi BRC. Nice find but that is for the petrol variant. I'm specifically looking for the diesel if possible.

Thanks

Re: Service intervals 2.0 petrol 240 16 plate

The garage need to change the front discs and pads! They are pretty much shot, looks like over 10mm of corrosion on the outer edge. I'd bet my last pound that the rears are the same or worse.

Re: Wider front Tyres for 19inch Venoms

In relation to the spare, it's design intent is for emergencies. I'm happy to accept 50mph and a very short distance. You can find a tyre fitter open almost 365 days of the year, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Also if the rolling circumference is slightly different, again if you stick to 50mph...

Re: Wider front Tyres for 19inch Venoms

I don't understand the issue with the spare being a problem with different wheels. All XE wheels have the same rolling diameter/circumference and the spare matches that so its ok for any wheel from 17" up to 20". Hi, you are right if we follow the recommended tyre sizes. I was thinking of getting w...

Re: Snow Foam

Were they using the 'dirt blaster' or whatever other name other brands give to the rotating high pressure nozzle? That specifically says not for use on car bodywork. I've seen paint lifted with the usual 'fan' lance but normally only because the lance is held far too close to an area where the paint...

Re: Volvo Recall

They aren't Ford engines though, it's Volvo's own unit. The 1.6 was the Ford/PSA unit.

Re: Engine light is on

Yes or they can remove the gearbox. You want to do your research on here and go with not fit for purpose. The timing chain should last the life of the engine. There have been a decent number of owners that have had issues, do some research on here to strengthen your case.
