Re: words fail me!

When we arrived I checked the comfort indicator and we only had less than 60% charge in the battery. There were too many systems running and not enough charge going into the battery. I've said before elsewhere, unlike older cars, our Euro 6 cars do not continuously charge the battery. The BMS manag...

Re: Rear bumper crack

Slightly left-field, but what about one of those stick-on bumper protectors?

Re: Auto start/stop not working - Jag XE R Sport Auto

Sorry PhilB, this is not about stop/start per se, just the obvious place to reply :) All the excuses as well about short journeys etc. Any car the battery charges when the engine is running . This is no longer true. Euro 6 cars have 'Smart Alternators' to appease the God of emissions. The battery on...

I have been trying to get over to St Ives meet but end up with something else planned by SWMBO so keep missing it.
Paul, if you were thinking of going to the January meet at St Ives on the 13th, it's now been changed to the 20th. The date changed too late to go in the magazine.

Re: How many miles did you get out of your Dunlops?

When I put my winter wheels on at 24k miles, the original Dunlops, 225/40R19 front 255/35 rear, were at 4mm and 3mm respectively so would have been good for a few miles yet. I'll be changing them though as the outer edges on all 4 are pretty much gone and there's some cracking between the tread bloc...

Re: Exhaust tailpipes XE & XE-S

These are the Yeti tips. Pretty easy to fit, just make sure they are lined up properly before you gently tap them home as you'll not get them off without damage afterwards.

Re: Non-electric access to Boot

But what if you keep your lithium battery portable jump starter in the boot (like I did until I thought this through)? Even if you have the optional folding rear seat backs you can't use these to clamber into the boot because the release cables are.....in the boot! You can drop the centre section o...

Yes the website is old, 2014, they meet up at the Royal Oak, Cogenhoe, 3rd wednesday of the month.
Cheers, I shall have to pop along, probably be January now, have something on tomorrow. I know the pub well, nice food and it's not that far from me.
