Re: InControl Pro Network Selection

Perhaps people should also look at the costings as well. The 3 12GB Sim posted earlier from "MyMemory" works out at £2,33 per month over 12 months. How much are people paying their mobile providers per month for extra sims that can be problematic ? Totally agree. When I got my XE which could take a...

Re: The Ultimate Baddies Car

You -could- make an 1100 Escort go sideways, but it took real determination.... :D JOE460L, the white 1100L that I learnt to drive in! And checking on the DVLA site it was taked up unitl February 1984 - 11 years wasn't a bad age back then. :o No wonder you could get it sideways!! Yours was a 1100 M...

Re: The Ultimate Baddies Car

It was a brilliant car!! I had a MK2 3.8 in the late 60s. A superb looking car, really comfortable and great to drive. They used to go like stink for their day but you needed to be very careful round the bends. 16 to the gallon was about the norm and petrol was 3/7 or about 17 pence in todays loot. ...

Re: Electrics/Battery issue - Car won’t start, electrics flicker!

The very fact that you can jump start the car points to the battery itself being either duff or not connected properly to the car via its terminals as FighterPilot said. If one of the battery connections is not tight, as soon as you apply a load (press the start button) there is a very high resistan...

Re: NOX sensor replacement

It is a real pain in the butt and the pocket when you have this sort of problem. I'm no expert but looking at it logically, if the original fault came up as DEF quality, it's very unlikely that it will be anything to do with the EGR if the car is running ok. It must surely be further down the line a...

Re: Intermittent throttle delay

Hi BOBCDP My assumption is that the problem is associated with the EGR but why no code? I checked out the site you mentioned but my car has none of the noted symptoms other than the throttle delay and "the noise". Performance otherwise seems unaffected. I have ordered a manual (.pdf) but the compan...

Re: The clock

Ah yes the old favourite.  My first 2015 XE always used to lose a bit but I never checked if it was exactly 2 mins that it lost. I just used to correct the time when I noticed it was wrong but I'm sure sometimes it was a bit more than 2 minutes. I read somewhere that the clock lost a seco...

Re: Intermittent throttle delay

I wonder if this might throw some light on your problem? https://www.stoneacre.co.uk/blog/egr-valve.
If it is the EGR valve possibly sticking or gummed up, what about trying one of the Wynns cleaners or similar in the first instance and give the car a good run and see if it improves?

Re: First oil service and adblue etc.

Jeff, Unless they have changed the service intervals, they are 2 yearly or every 21k miles for the 180D. Re adblue, the MY20 does 500 miles per litre and again unless they have changed tank capacity which from memory is 16 litres on the 180D, just buy 10 litres, (approx 2.4 gallons) from Halfords, S...

That's a shame.
We had quite a few US members from 2015 onwards when they were lucky enough to get the V6 AWD.
Never did it in RHD for the UK though.
But, SUV's are where the money is now....................unfortunately.

Bloody awful things!!
