Re: Tyre gel vs Oil

Using oil on the tyres can't be a good thing for the rubber? Maybe we've found out why so many tyres are cracking these days. :o My thoughts exactly. Even more glad I opted clean it myself. Even though the oil coated tyres may have looked shinier, that wears off pretty quickly and can't be good for...

Tyre gel vs Oil

I'm a huge fan of keeping my car clean... it recently went in under warranty to replace a high level brake light with condensation, and the famous Stop/Start battery recharge. Went to collect my car and found it hadn't been valeted yet. They offered to clean it if I waited 20-30mins so had a wander ...

Re: A hello from London - May I ask your advice?

It always comes down to preference. I love the black alloys, and the second from Stockport is almost exactly like mine but with the Meridien 380W system and I think that looks like really good value. There was an offer on Hire Purchase where you got £1,500 off the car, but looks like that's ended un...

Re: Condensation highlevel brakelight

Have had the same issue on mine with the highlevel brakelight on the rear windscreen constantly having large amounts of condensation.

Sent an email with pictures off to my dealer and they called back immediately saying that it's covered under warranty and will be replaced.

Re: A hello from London - May I ask your advice?

My requirements were very similar to yours, including budget. I've just recently got the XE and a few weeks in... I love it. Model in my sig. Previous car was Fiesta ST 07. The cockpit is great, seats are very comfortable even for long drives, engine extremely punchy for me when needed. I have the s...

Re: Moisture in headlights

Condensation in the high level rear brake light was a common problem, especially so on the MY16 cars. You should find long threads on the subject if you search the forum. The faulty units are replaced under warranty, so best to speak to your dealer before the warranty expires. Yes, thanks, I've jus...

Re: Moisture in headlights

I've noticed some condensation in the rear brake light - the long one placed at the top of the rear window.

Checked the online manual and can only see condensation referencing the headlamps.

Anyone else noticed that?

Black trims for exhaust

Wondering if anyone knows another way of getting the black trims for the exhaust?

I'm adamant on getting them after PhilB got me hooked on the idea here.

I've tried posting on the thread in For Sale and also messaging Llowen privately but failing to get any response.
