Re: Adaptive cruise control

+1
Earlier XE's had just "normal" cruise.
It was an option to have the adaptive at cost on speccing the car.
Normally identified by an oblong flat plate around the front grille growler badge for the sensors to hide behind.

Re: Infotainment Software Update latest S21A_21.10.6-676616 (Apr 21)

Nothing new on any other forums other than the update JaggedEdge posted about on the 25th May.
A further update will be sent SOTA in the next couple of months to hopefully fix the issue.

Re: DAB Radio problems

Bear in mind not all DAB stations are national so they have limits. I normally listen to Heart London but on the extremeties of that the car used to switch to the next local "Heart" station automatically. Same music just different presenters. When I cleared it's brain prior to trade in it binned all...

Re: DAB Radio problems

DAB stations are grouped in various "ensembles" depending where you live. BBC radio has it's own and where I live I also have a London one plus a few more for Bucks Berks and Herts. It's been a while since I tuned an XE but on my most recent Evoque you could access each "ensemble" then scan through ...

doors have double seals like on most cars. noise comes from thin metal and lack of sounproofing
The XF had/has a double row of door seals.
The XE only has a single seal hence why some on here added additional sealing strips.

Re: Swapping the air condenser by yourself?

I think it's very strange that these mystery stones don't seem to be hitting any models from post 2015/16 ? I recall one member was advised by us on here to ask to see the condenser and the stone damage. When he did the repair was suddenly covered by warranty. Strange that. Almost as good as the mem...

Re: Swapping the air condenser by yourself?

I think you will need to use a specialist as well.
To remove any gas in the system.
Pressure check the system after you have installed the new condenser and then refill and check the system again.
The XE uses a more modern version of the gas - the details being in the user manual.

Re: Chip Repair Kit

Yep.
Last three letters are the code but most aftermarket paint people also recognise the generic name like Eiger Grey or suchlike.
