Re: Speed sign recognition

To clarify there are two systems both available from the onboard menu. The "alerts" give you an audible warning when you go over the speed you have set as detailed from the manual above. The traffic sign recognition will display the speed for your location on the main dash. Two separate settings in ...

Re: Tyre Valve Stems

The XE is really sensitive and will flag a warning when the tyre pressures go slightly below the recommended value. The alerts shouldn't happen unless the actual pressure is 5psi + or - from the approved pressure. Newer models can have an intelligent system which allows for variables such as temper...

Re: Speed sign recognition

As I understand it, the camera's are the primary point of reference, the sat nav database is the secondary. That's how I understand it. My last XE had an issue with one road near me showing it as a 20 which was half a mile up the road when it was clearly 30 where I was at the time. It also used to ...

Re: What are the little boards in front of each wheel called?

Those fixings look better than the earlier ones that were fitted to the ones that used to fall off. I believe they also had double sided tape from the factory which was rubbish. The ones on my later MY18 were rock solid and never had an issue. Definitely use Araldite on the mating surfaces (I recall...

Re: What are the little boards in front of each wheel called?

Oh gawd I'm trying to remember. They used to fall off regularly from the early models as they were held on with the plastic Christmas Tree fixings. Later models were fixed far better. I remember some people replaced the fixings with pop rivets. I took mine off and cleaned them up then used Araldite ...

Re: Puncture

If I change the wheel what do I do with my 20” wheel? Yes driving an XE that was never even a thought but the F-Type has no room in the boot for a 20” wheel. So leave it by the side of the road? If I get a flat it is either going to be a dropped nail in which case repair will work, if it is a side ...

Re: Infotainment Software Update latest S21A_21.10.6-676616 (Apr 21)

In previous threads it seems to be the stick itself that was often at fault. But let's not give up a chance to put the boot in JLR shall we? I'm the first in the queue when it's justified but assuming everybody is having this issue just isn't correct. However it seems JLR have fixed the issue for th...

This is begining to look like the stop start thread.
It is/was intended to let members know when a new software update comes out.
If it mentions a fix then people can naturally start posting about it.
Plenty of threads already on here about memory stick issues.
