Yes is the ANSWER.BEWARE! I have XE 2016 Portfolio. Along the top the boot channel there are two black flat pieces of rubber, 1on either side. Apparently these are the entrance drain holes which runoff behind the body panels and can easily block.
Mine blocked and allowed water to gather in the battery well under the spare wheel causing major electrical failure
Does anyone know if there are any other points to check? I've not long been out to the car and noticed there was a lot of condensation inside (front and back screen, all windows) which I've not seen on it before so I want to check there isn't a problem with drainage anywhere, particularly after the recent weather which has brought lots of tree debris down. Thanks!

Just checked my boot and it is dry. Also checked my carpets and can't decide whether they're slightly damp or it's the cold evening and material texture combination! No obvious water, though.

I found there are some drains near the bonnet struts but they're large and seem unlikely to get blocked.

I noticed this afternoon (noting it had been and still was raining heavily) that the car windows were steamed up. They'd cleared by this evening.

Would be interested to know if anyone else noticed this to help decide whether I have a blocked drain or leak! Thanks.
