I've noticed in my xe r sport that when I get in and start the engine the Bluetooth connects fine, however shortly after seems to drop connection before randomly coming back.

It's then fine for the duration of the journey

Any ideas? Using a oneplus 3

I would like to throw my hat in the ring for this, just in case Samsung or Jaguar might be reading.

Our XE is primarily used by the Mrs. I recently convinced her that Apple is devious and has her locked i to their world, and that my Samsung with Android was superior. Much to my surprise she parted with her long held loyalty to the iPhone and got a shiny new (and very good) Samsung S10.

With a two hour commute each day in the car she is now very unhappy with me. She can't make calls or listen to her music. Samsung and/or Jaguar are ruining her life, and in turn she will ruin mine!

Please someone fix this problem!

EDIT: I should add that this problem is made worse by the fact that my Samsung Galaxy S8 works flawlessly

So does mine.
Had the update to version 9 and I also did the March security update myself and no issues at all.

I think Samsung and Jaguar have become incompatible. Too many complaints everywhere for it to be a one off problem.
It's strange as iPhones always used to cause issues and that seems to have gone quiet.
Until version 9, Samsung was always rock solid.
However, it seems to have gone pretty quiet generally as there were a considerable number of people with issues.
Are they still having issues with the same phone as previously or have things been fixed?

kierank, you'll have to swap phones with her. She'll have one that works in the Jag and you'll have a nice shiny new one :D

Galaxy S8 same problem since security update. Annoying.

Android forums show its down to a change in the Bluetooth stack and is hitting loads of connected devices (not just automotive).

Given the Touch system is supplied by Harman and Harman are owned by Samsung.......there is some hope

There was talk of some workarounds as an interim

Funnily enough mine has just pinged up the security update for May 2019.
Might not impact anybody having issues but you never know and it does optimise all the apps as well.
:D

At lunch time I put my Iphone 6 on charge (in the house). I've just been out to the car to look at the Info system and realised that the phone was connected and I could make calls (and see that the battery was now charged). The phone is a good 12 feet from the car through a solid brick wall. I think my Bluetooth connection is good enough!

Still can't find the Info screen that I want.

ONG! After many agonising months and MUCH swearing, following a recommendation on a Samsung forum, I have installed the Bluetooth Phonebook app and have now used the phone as well as Spotify connected to the car (Samsung S9+ and Jaguar XE MY15) for a couple of days with NO PROBLEMS! Be aware that you need to open the app when you first install it and then it will prompt you to allow the access privileges to your contacts.

I have tried MANY of different ways to get this working and hope this helps people like it's helped me.

I had the same problem but last week Samsung did another update and it appears to be Ok so far.
Just as an aside have a demo MY2020 and no problems with that one.

ralfj, some questions please; did you download from Android store or Amazon store; do you have access to text messages as well as phonebook and do you have ICT or ICT Pro?

Took the car in on Monday and got a new software update, so far bluetooth has been working flawlessly. I'm currently using a Sony Xperia 1 on Pie with previous issues. Non pro set up here.

Now, I also installed Bluetooth Phonebook on the same day which to be honest I think probably did the trick rather than the Jag update.

I did have to set Bluetooth AVRCP to v1.3 in the android developer options in order for some apps so show details on screen, for example Pocket Casts would only show as 'unknown' track' on anything above that version number.

@Bluefire65 I downloaded it from the Google Play Store, I've got the standard ICT. I got a text come through yesterday which seemed to work ok and I can use the phone book, but nothing shows up in the call list (I'm not worried about this, it may be possible to play with settings in the app to make it work but I don't want to jeopardise the rest of the functionality as I never use that feature anyway).
