Car magazine has just landed through my letter box they they have placed the Jaguar XE in 1st place, Merc C-class in 2nd place and the BMW in 3rd place in the world first exclusive road test!

Great result for the Jaguar!

Yes but bmw was 420 gran coupe not 3 series.
not really fair comparison.
of course shows xe in better light.

It's a 4dr version of a 2dr version of a 4dr saloon!

I actually had a 430d m sport for a week to try before I ordered the XE, and although it was nice and the performance was entertaining I think the main selling point was the massive hatch opening for the boot! Still doesn't beat the XE, in my opinion, but then I would say that...
