Hi All,

As the subject says, I am from South Africa.

I have been waiting for the XE to come out since they started teasing us. At the beginning of this year, I was in the market for a new car but this was not available yet, So I ordered another Audi. After that being delayed, I check in with my local Jaguar dealership and they had started taking orders. I was too late to get a XES so I need to wait for the next batch due in January.

XES - damn I am jealous! That was a little out of my price range (and I do a lot of miles, so would have hurt my wallet several times over), but damn I would love one! I hope it all comes through on time for you :)

Thanks Richard,

I must say its going to be a looooong wait.

I'm still undecided on the colour though. I initially spec'ced it with Ammonite Grey, but after looking at the blues, I'm unsure of my choice. Does anyone have a picture of the Bluefire and the Dark Sapphire blue next to each other? or just a pic of each of them? The online builder has those two colours almost Identical.

Not sure if this is too late but I have seen in the flesh Bluefire and Dark Sapphire - and Bluefire is the way to go (the way I went!).

The Dark Sapphire is a very dark blue, the kind you would typically expect on an XJ or BMW 5/7 series where the Bluefire is lighter, and in the sun it is gorgeous....

My car here (not sure why the pics upload upside down!) : http://www.xeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=912 and its pretty overcast so the colour isn't been done justice!

Dark Sapphire here : http://www.xeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=832 and you can see its a darker tone overall.

Both nice - but seeing them side by side made my mind up instantly.

Agree with that. Dark sapphire is like Montreal blue bmw colour. I think Bluefire would suit an Xes very well.
I am pleased with my ammonite though a real nice fleck in the finish and slightly darker than I first thought after seeing one at dealers whuch was good as I wanted tempest grey but company said no.
