This is my only concern - are they better now?

I know the Evoque was supposed to be completely different but did suffer for reliability issues when first launched, just wondering if things have improved?

I know the Jaguar XE is a whole new platform, production line, engine etc. etc.

Well they've improved a lot over the years, I think we'll probably see one or two teething issues - it's common for a brand new car - but overall reliability will be a lot better. The amount of testing they've done both with the new engine and the XE - spy shots have been popping up for years now - I think we should feel confident in its reliability.

You still read of some issues on the new Range Rovers and Evoque models but they seem much more improved than when they first came out. Part of the reputation Jaguar are keen to shake off I believe.
