Jaguar XE Power Fold Mirrors

Hi, not sure if anyone can help, but I have a jaguar XE 2015 and it did not have power fold mirrors, so I thought I would fit power fold mirrors, and the switch with the power fold mirror picture on it. I then took it to a jaguar specialist, but he was unable to programme it and get it working. He got the options installed but still they did not operate. Is this something that anyone can do for me?

Nothing else is required, Installing everything you did is 1st step, then you need to 'switch on' this option in CCF, cars configuration file.

Hi thanks for pointing to the related Thread, but reading that it looks like I have to find someone that can activate them, and I have tried to look for someone that can do that, but without any luck. The last specialist I went to could not do it, they said they need a code from Jaguar, which is impossible to get. He was using SSD, as the Pathfinder has been phased out.

If he was thinking to use pathfinder on 2015 jag, then avoid at all cost. Pathfinder is for jags April 2017 and older, till 2020 I believe.

You need to be in engineering mode in sdd to be able to modify CCF.

where are you based, I can do it

Sure, as long as you know what you're after then it's safe.

3h away from me...

Yeh, we did try to program them, but it didn't work for whatever reason. And did it few times, successfully, already🤷‍♂️

I can confirm that it is possible, @bik3rz played a part in programming mine for which I will always be thankful.

I wonder if it's the mirrors or the car...
If you still had the mirrors I could buy them off you and try them in mine since I want to buy some anyway?
I have a 2016 R Sport model

The only thing I worry about is the wiring as I'm unsure where they plug into or if I need to link it directly to the fuse box

LR Retrofits.

These guys may be able to help. I’ve previously had correspondence with them about the auto folding mirrors upgrade. It was a bit cheaper a few years back but they source the mirrors (used) and now suggest they are much more expensive as not as available as previous. They would probably agree to use the mirrors that you have sourced but not sure they’ll give you a warranty. A recall coding would be approx £200 when I enquired about coding alone. It’s sourcing good working mirrors that’s the problem. Worth a punt and they’ve been around a while. They do lots of retrofits to Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles including power gains too. I think they would seriously hurt my wallet if I lived next door to them!

Bloody hell, that is crazy money.
You can find a pair of powerfold mirrors for £300ish, cheaper if you are lucky, you will use your original covers.
The module in the door has/should have all the correct wiring going to it.
It is not a massive job to fit them, allow an hour a side you will be well in, especially on the 2nd side.
Get the CCF changed (the man in post #20 might be able to help;)) and away you go for considerably less than £800.
For a source of mirrors try Eurojag Ltd

Edited to add:-
They currently have a pair of heated powerfold mirrors for £240 (1/11/24)
