I'll throw my tuppence in as well. I went for the 380 ICT Meridian and have been really pleased with the quality of the sound and volume. I had a loaner '67 plate XF two weeks ago that had just the standard set up - I immediately noticed, without even thinking about it. I don't know what difference there is between standard XE and standard XF, regardless it wasn't a bad sounding radio to be honest. It just didn't have the full range and depth the Meridian does.
