Tire pressure setting Normal vs. Light load

Anyone ever change their tire pressures to "light" load pressures and notice any difference as far as handling, speed, or fuel economy by doing so?
The car tire pressures are preset at "Normal" for 3 or more occupants and has significantly higher pressures than the recommended "Light" load. Just a curiosity to see if anyone has done so and noticed anything different?

I run them on Light. Pressure for normal is around 45 on 19-inch rims if memory serves right. That sounds high to me. Possibly the result of Jag trying to meet fuel economy standards.

You already feel the road quite a bit in this car with the 19's and sport suspension. I'm not interested in running the tires needlessly high.

Agreed. I run "light" setting. I seem to recall this is still 34 psi cold. Soon builds when running. My TPMS says 47 is "heavy" .

Mine runs on "light' too. I think this is how it came from the factory.

Mine is on light (which it tells me every time I start up the car).

Usually it's just me in the car with an empty boot on my daily commute.

Ran the tires at high pressure a few months back when I didn't realise that the gauge on my compressor was poorly calibrated. Found the handling a little bouncy with it set like that! Bit scary at high speeds. Much better on lower pressures and doesn't seem to have hurt economy.

Mine came from the dealer with the pressures on high load. After 2 days I changed them to light load (2.3 bar) and it was a different car. So much better on the rough roads we have here. A much more luxurious ride. I now check the pressures every 2 weeks or so and adjust accordingly (usually only 0,1 or 0,2 of a bar) using the same service station, always, which is just down the road from home.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Mine came with "heavy" settings. I adjusted them to "light" ,plus 2psi, and reset the TPMS to light. I have the 19" tires, so this adjustment makes them a bit more forgiving on bumpy roads. I feel it also gives them a little more "headroom" if you will, when driving on hotter days.

Good to know as mine came with normal pressures. I will try and lower them!
