To debadge or not to debadge?

I liked it when jaguar just used the leaper, I don't know why they felt the need to write Jaguar on it as well. So middle one for me.

Like the rear diffuser quad system, really want this on my XES but would prefer it to just be black rather than carbon fibre. Was it a workshop job or can it be done easily at home?

I don't think I'm ready to start cutting my car apart just yet.
Would it affect the warranty in doing so?

One of the main reasons for chopping in our old XF was to have a car under warranty again.

I've never been a fan of debagdged cars. I'm the one that likes to add more badges to a car. I'll admit to putting VXR badges on my first car which was a Vauxhall vectra. Please be gentle but the photo should be good for a giggle at.

I said be gentle!!

It actually caused a rear spring to snap due to excessive downforce.

It was a 2.0petrol 136bhp. A very cool first car in my day. I had to say it was my mother's to get insured which was difficult explaining to local plod as this sort of car seemed a magnet for being pulled over.

Back to the oringinal post, this is what happens when you over badge. So probably best left as is to avoid any stereotyping.

I just have a real thing for quad pipes. Everyone knows quad pipes means serious business

If I keep the car out of warranty then 405bhp remap and quad pipes are first on the list!

Haha - oh wow my dream car!

Contrary to popular belief, this is more my cup of tea ...

Also if you skwint it's almost resembles my old vectra. It was just ahead of its time with its design.

I remember watching that video when I was waiting to collect my car.

To be honest I'm finding this a handful in the wet never mind that beast!

On the subject of de-badging what is the purpose of this horrendous rectangle cover. Can this be de badged

Is it just a protective cover or is it in fact the unit itself?
Love the ACC but my god it looks horrible. Hope jag manage to work around this in the future as our XC90 doesn't have this contraption and that drives itself!

Also what I was staying earlier about adding badges. I have contemplated S badges on the side vents. I fear it could be OTT though

I suspect it was just another dodgy spring, it was the plaque of the average car market in that period :)

In reality, you'd added too much drag for the car to go fast enough to generate any significant downforce ;)
I was 17, how fast would I needed to be going to get downforce 😀

Jaguars design department obviously had a day off when they came up with the ACC idea
