Just sold my f-type, looking to buy a 2017 V6 XE. Does this engine suffer from the same brittle y pipe that the f-type suffered from?

I've never heard of this issue but they are the same engine so unless it was changed in a recall or on newer builds i'd imagine its the same. I've had my XES less than a year so may have just not read about this issue yet.

Mine is a model year 2017, built in 2016. I just checked the upper pipe and it has the seam which means that it is the old design. Therefore the lower pipe will also be the old design. No issues at this stage and the car is at 50,000km (around 31,000 miles). I’m considering replacing the pipes before 60,000km.

However, I haven’t seen anything on this forum about failure of these pipes.

Mines a 2015 model and ive just had the crossover pipe etc replaced as it cracked under the supercharger losing most of its coolant,while the charger was off also changed the heater manifold at the back of the engine and waterpump...all to the revised versions
