Eclipse; XE-S 380, Santorini Black, 20" 1014's

Post by PaulC » Thu Oct 25, 2018 10:34 am

My detailer spent 2 days giving her a clean up and ceramic coating (the paintwork and plastics were shocking from the dealers) and now she's finally ready to make some noise on the roads.

XE-S 380 (MY19 - which I believe is quite rare as the XE-S was discontinued shortly after MY19 was available to order), 20" "1014" wheels (Propellers was their previous name I think), santorini black, heated and cooled seats, heated steering, interactive driver display, ICTPro with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Meridian 825, dual view screen, 18 way seats with memory, advanced parking pack with surround, black pack, adaptive cruise control, adaptive dynamics, powerfold mirrors, heated windscreen, additional power sockets, blind spot assist, secure tracker, aluminium shifter paddles, garage door opener, service plan and most importantly, a spare wheel. Oh and a sunglasses holder out of a Merc. I think that's everything

Edit: I know how to spell 'aluminium', honest.

What a beautiful car. I don't think I've seen one so well-specced, either.

At times like this I wish I'd gone down the 'S' route instead for a staid portfolio.

Have a great time in it.

The spec wasn't my choice, but I'm more than happy with it for the price.
I tried to order one earlier in the year but the order was rejected as it was discontinued the next day and my order was placed after 5pm. My dealer had been looking out for one for me ever since and this one was about to roll off the production line when the order was cancelled, my dealer called me (I was abroad sipping a G&T by the pool at the time), she crunched some numbers and I said I'd take it. Two weeks later I picked it up. Happy days.

Yep, one of the last of the breed.
Now, you take it easy for a bit before you go out bullying the chavs in their M3's etc etc.

Must admit to a tinge of envy - what a car. Hope you get many hours of enjoyment out of her. Great spec too :D

Looking very nice! What kind of ceramic coating did your detailer use? I am thinking about getting a ceramic coating for my car as well (after good polishing, etc.)

Oh yeah! :D Same spec as mine! Gotta love it. Mine's getting hammered with leaves, sap and gwano at the moment I bet the ceramic coating makes shifting it a breeze!

:!: ps I don't think you have the adaptive cruise control - that comes with a bit of clear plastic behind the Jag badge on the front grill - personally not to my liking - I don't have it on mine. oh, and did they remember to include the Jag headphones for you?

pps where are you in the UK? Might be an idea to add that to your deets...

great car...  8-) 8-)
