Lovely looking car. Is that logo standard or is it an option?

Very nice indeed! I always thought the "vents" in the new front bumper were going to be one large gaping hole but yours are filled in (for want of a better word) with a horizontal divider. Got to say what I see looks far nicer with a hark back to the original design.

Also is there some optical wizardry going on with the puddle lights to get what appears to be a perfect circle projected from an angle? If so then very good to see the attention to detail but even if not, a very nice touch.

Enjoy the new ride and what perfect timing now the sun has finally shown its face. :D

Looking at the configurator if you order an R-Dynamic version you get the open vents.
If you order an S,SE or HSE then you have the "strakes" across them a bit like non-S versions of the first XE.

JLR have been pretty clever with the logos in the puddle lights, my first Evoque in 2012 had them and they were pretty sharp.
Managed to find a pic of them on the E-Pace.....................Aw cute!

According to the configurator "Auto-dimming, power fold, heated door mirrors with approach lights" are standard on the SE and above.
What have been called "puddle lights" since the XE came out are officially "approach lights" so if you order the base S you will probably have to pay extra for them.

Hi hotdog,

As your MY 2020 XE is a non R-Dynamic P250, could I please ask whether it's got the steering wheel mounted gear shift paddles as standard? According to my local dealer, the paddles are now only standard on R-Dynamic models, and cost extra on the rest.
Ordered: P250 S; Portofino Blue; Lt Oyster Windsor Lthr Seats with Ebony/Lt Oyster interior; 16-way electric dr mem fr seats; Style 1048 wheels; Gloss Ash Burr Veneer; Heated steering wheel; 380W Meridan System; Spare wheel; Rubber mats

Whilst you wait for a reply, it was the same on mine.
Only the R-Dynamic had paddles as standard.
The R-Dynamic package on mine was just "bling" and it would have cost an additional £1600.
I just paid extra for black paddles and the black headlining from the R-Dynamic "package" and saved myself £1300.

Hi Phil,

Many thanks for that swift clarification. In the meantime, I've checked the configurator again and confirmed that the paddles are only standard on R-Dynamic variants of the XE. I have also looked at an official, very high resolution photo of an XE interior, and again, no paddles.

Once again, many thanks and good luck with your new Range Rover Evoque too :) .

Hi Stephen, NO steering wheel-mounted gear shift paddles on mine, I'm ok with that, Chears
