I have used Mistermatic https://www.jaguar-swansea.co.uk/ based in Swansea West Industrial Park for many years.
Excellent service and workmanship with a real passion for Jags.
Did me a 25t first service plus front dashcam fitting for less than £200
Would having the service done there affect your warranty though? Mine is not due for another 15 months yet as 1st service is two years. Swansea would be nearer for me than Cardiff, and if I could save some dosh it would be a win/win scenario.

For many years now it has been illegal to make warranties conditional on services being carried out by franchised dealers. Provided recommended service intervals and schedules are adhered to and manufacturer approved parts are used, services can be carried out anywhere (even diy)

I was not aware of that, so this would apply to Jaguar as well. May have to rethink who does the service as I have a trusted local garage that could do it and save me a long trip.

From memory the warranty states that servicing must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines by a franchised Jaguar retailer or VAT registered garage - that’s the only stipulation made.

Just need to make sure they do use genuine Jaguar parts. I colleague of mine used a garage that did not use the specified Jaguar oil. Unfortunately the engine blew and was not covered by warranty! This was several years ago now so I'm sure these specialist garages use all the genuine parts. Worth a check though.

Mmm. Jaguar dealer local to me actually put the incorrect oil in my X Type auto with DPF.
There again the owners manual even specified the wrong type as well. (It required low sap oil to a certain spec)

Parking pack fitted but not used.

Did have two X Types, a 2.5L then a 2.2L Auto with the dreaded DPF. No more DPF's for me.

If you source the service parts yourself you could save even more. Just keep all the receipts though!

Always a good idea to source your own oil.
It will be cheaper and you know the right stuff is in the car.
I also had a main dealer put the wrong oil in my first XE.
It was discovered when they serviced it after I traded it in...............new engine.
