It’s worth refreshing this post. Even “United Kingdom” is a bit vague.

Yep.
It became a requirement some time last year to show locations before new members could join.
Plenty of members from before that time still not adding locations and it would be preferable to show counties at least rather than just UK.
It's handy in some cases so you know where not to go in case you are likely to bump into them.

Well, my details have my location, but I wonder how many people could point to Sandwell on a map :lol:

I used to get my railway display cabinets from Sandwell. I always collected them either as part of a day out or on the way back from Devon or Cornwall.

How many southerners could even point to Birmingham (or Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Newcastle)? They may even have difficulty with Scotland or Wales.

Everyone knows where Lands End and John O'Groats are but what about Britain's most easterly point, that's where I'm located :D

I thought this post was about members was about telling others their location, not having a dig at where people are located.

Funny you should say that...

Just over a week before the Beast from the East hit, SWMBO and I were in Gas Works Road, working out how many of the places on the floor plaque we had been to so far :mrgreen:
