T4N4709 or T4N20453 XE roof bars

Roof Bar part numbers - T4N4709 & T4N20453 whats the difference was told initially needed T4N4709 now being told T4N20453
anyone know what the difference is & if its correct?

T4N4709 was the part number for the early bars T4N20453 is for the later bars. Don't know what they changed but T4N20453 is the only roof bars listed in the 2018 XE accessory brochure.

I recall a thread on here about how some XE roof bars became detached at speed and the bars and load on them ended up on the road. Perhaps the new design was to fix this problem?

i have 17 xe, newer in catalog stated that them fits to 19 and 20

One person was carrying canoes and the other paddle boards, both potentially very effective lift generators!

I have managed to get the footpack for an XE off ebay for £42 plus postage, so hope my existing 127cm or 120cm from my old Audi A6 and A4 will fit.
