Catch or No Catch?

HI,

I have been googling lately on the subject of Oil Catch Can, and is wondering if any of the XE owners have installed one. Some argue that only older generations GDI would need such device to separate the oil from the air, however, some believe even the newest GDI engines are fundamentally structurally no differences. As long as the oil mist and other nasty stuff will be re-routed to the air intake, then carbon buildup to valves and pistons will be inevitable.

Some believe an Oil Catch Can is necessary, as the amount of oil and dirt that a can could catch is rather little, and would cause no negative effect on the engine. On the hand, there're people suggest no harm by installing one, and it does catch something, doesn't it?

Should get one? Where to get one? How to install one on an XE? or Nah, a waste of time?
