I know I've seen it on the site before, but can't for the life of me seem to find the document (TB?) that detailed how to correctly test the engine mounts for the issue. Does anybody have this in PDF?
I'm not getting anywhere with the independent dealership on the issue, although I've heard the same sound as what's on numerous videos (It can actually be the exhaust mount which does have excessive play), so I want to print the TB that had the full details of how Jaguar test these, and pay an indie specialist to carry out the test and report back - Should let me know once and for all if it's an issue, and the only reliable way to tell for sure it's not the cause of the sound I heard (To be fair the sound is not easy to reproduce like it is for most people with engine mount failure so I just want to be sure).
It should be cheap to fix if you have access to a full time mechanic (as this dealer does), but I've seen anything from £400 - £1200+ quoted on here by people, so not one that I'm keen to let slip by if it is indeed an issue.
