Nope, it is stuffed. In fact on the drive home yesterday the bluetooth crashed 5 minutes in and wouldnt recognise my phone for the rest of the drive, though it was working again this morning. Into Jag tomorrow morning to see what they can do.

It's a joke this hasn't been sorted out. Obviously a conflict between the new Android version and Jag software. It's a Jag issue, they need to sort it asap. 2019, high end cars and can't even get Bluetooth connection, piss poor.

I got my frustration out of my system by annoying Jaguar on their Messenger account with a bunch of memes, some of which I posted on another thread. Here are some more. You should try it, it is quite cathartic. The Jaguar representative quite passionately put to me that the software would fix this, but I have my doubts. I would know tomorrow afternoon.

After Jag did software updates on mine today the bluetooth seemed to work no problem straight away and the messages read fine although the contacts wouldnt load in. Here's hoping tomorrow I get more functionality, but just being able to make calls is a luxury at the moment so I shouldnt complain.

When the phone is connected to the car go into the bluetooth settings for the car on the phone and check it's still authorised to share contacts.
Software updates have been known to uncheck the box.

So, having bit the bullet and accepted the 9.0 Android Pie update, I have the dreaded Bluetooth issue. Curiously, it seems to happen in diminishing batches at the start of a journey. Connectivity switches off and on, then settles down, albeit I have yet to go on any significant journeys since the update.

The phone does not record any apps turning off Bluetooth and logic says is the Android update but then others have had no problems and I suppose it could be an App update following on from the Pie update or a conflict with the basic ICT sofware on the Jaguar. I'll also add that I have no issues with connectivity to a bluetooth speaker.

I note that PhilB and others on the F-Pace forum who have reported no issues have ICTP Pro, as does Bruce above who has had a system update; so is there anyone who has the basic ICT with a phone, Samsung or other, that is running Android 9.0 without issue either with or without a software update to ICT

Thanks Phil. The box was checked but I had to go into the options and refresh the contacts which sorted it. It now seems to be working , I'll post again if it doesnt.

Oddly enough I had a few instances where the music didnt turn off when I opened my door, the service guy mentioned he was driving a disco where the same thing was happening. That seems to be fixed as well.

Can anyone confirm if this problem is limited to Android Pie and standard ICT?
Anyone with ICT Pro experiencing this bluetooth issue?

I was getting it on the standard version but NOT on Pro version on new car. Same phone and same software version on phone.

On mine, it was updated to 9.0 some time back.
I also manually installed the security patch shown as 1 March 2019.
I've had no issues but there are a couple of things that might be relevant.
I am still on the original Pro software in the car as from the factory - no version 18, 19 or whatever so that could be something.
After 9 was first installed, when I switched on the bluetooth on the phone, I got the usual screen saying paired devices and showing the XE.
For a time there was another Jaguar "thing"/icon below it in the "available devices" part but I never thought to get a screen capture.
That has now gone but from day one with version 9 it has connected as usual an stayed there.
