Hi all,

Having a few minor niggles with the car for which I have returned to the main dealer. One of them is the SatNav being about 3 years out of date. Strange considering the car is only two years old. Anyway the main dealer is telling me there are no updates available! I have the Intouch version, does anybody know the latest version number for the maps please. Thanks

Hi.

The latest version is 28.1.10507 (May 2019). I think the next update is in October.

Thanks for the info. My local dealer insists there are no updates available even though roads that I am driving along have been there for more than two years.

Am I asking too much for an approved Jaguar to have up to date mapping. I've had the car just over a month.

I think October is the best to update. I updated in Sept only to find there was a newer version in October. I assume that when it looks like I am in afield I am actually low level flying.
Hi Vespa,
I hope you don’t mind me asking your advice on the map updates? I’ve just bought an XE S reg Jun 18 that has whatever version installed at new. I checked via the jag update download and there is 28.1.10507 available to buy for£97. Having read previous comments, I’m holding on a few weeks expecting a further update to be available to buy which I will go for instead. What I’m not sure about is will I need to buy both or just the latest version when it’s out?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Are you sure you don't have the Pro system?
I thought later ones like yours all came with the pro?
Check in the armrest cubby to see if you have a big slot with an SD card.

Yes the SD card slot is in space under arm rest, I removed it and put it in my PC to check if any updates were available. Does it make a difference if it’s a Pro system?

Yes it does.
It seems you have the standard set up with the SD so please carry on.
:D
(I saw your reg being a June 18 which would have made it a MY19 when all had the pro but as it's an XE S it has to be a MY18 at the latest)

I’m assuming that when the next map update is out, I can can just download and run it without the previous updates from new being installed?
