Post by Errai » Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:37 pm

First the rear light was infiltrated with water, now no more working, but only the LED lights as per attached video and photos

I couldnt get into that light assembly when we had a bulb failure (actually from memory there are 2 in there). You go in through a side panel in the boot, on one side it is easy but on the other there is another panel in the way. The handbook was no help though I am not particularly talented in this area. The difficult side from memory was our driver's side, which is on the right as you face the boot (left if you are looking from the front).

I ended up getting the service guys to sort it out.

It's incredibly difficult to get the rear lights of the car and in particular the offside one i.e. on the right when standing behind the car.
I've attached a picture of sorts and arrowed the single securing "screw/nut". This is a grey plastic item about 1.5 to 2 inches (40 to 50 mm) in length and has 2 "wings" which your fingers will grip onto. Ideally you need small hands and the ability to feel your way. Not easy but once you know where this "scew/nut" is situated you are in with a chance. Also be careful when undoing this screw/nut and make sure you prevent the rear light from falling.

Additionally I have also attached a file from the user manual but I think you'll eventually find my picture more helpful.
Hope the pic helps and good luck.
