We still haven't had an answer to the original question.
Can anybody with a MY20 have a look in the boot and advise what size battery is fitted.
It should say on the top.
The usual is an 80Ah on the previous versions.
Thanks.

Thanks, but there used to be another label showing what the rating is as in **Ah.
A bit like this one that says 12V 80Ah.

Sorry but I cannot answer the original question however I think my post may be relevant.
The car went into the dealership for 3 warranty issues one of which was the stop start having never worked since I purchased the car 2.5 months ago.
They fitted a brand new 80ah battery and did the software update, since then (a week ago) it has worked perfectly, however I really don't want/need it unless I ask the car for it.
Is there a way to semi permanently disable it without me having to remember to hit the button at the beginning of each journey
For those that are wondering why I asked for it to be fixed in the first place, my thoughts are that if something is in place then it should work if required.

I think someone on here disconnected it but the answer other than that is no. Use it and you will soon get used to it and get more mpg. I turn in off in stop start traffic.

There was/is a method of permanently disabling it by undoing a connector in the right hand fusebox in the boot.
Someone posted details a year or two ago but not sure where it might be amongst the forums.

Just found this, probably what is being referred to above ?

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-x152-72/easy-eco-stop-start-disable-applicable-cars-without-2nd-battery-146010/

Will have a go on mine later and see what happens.

That metal mounting and the connectors look identical to me, will definitely have a look at mine later and confirm.
If it all looks the same I will have a go at pulling the plug t see what effect it has, if S/S is cancelled I shall reconnect it after a week or so just to make sure everything still works the way it should...............................................................................................................then unplug it again !!!
