XES rear camera foggy

It would seem that there are two different part numbers for the XE rear view camera: T4N12913 and T4N13323. I wonder what the difference is.

One for surround camera and one for rear camera system. Also different for different years. In ICTP systems only rear camera systems camera is directly connected to infotainment PC and canbus.

Looks like that T4N13323 has also the switch for rear.

I hlthino one has the 4 pin connector and the other a 6 pin connector. From my investigation the 6 pin camera is for systems with the 360 degree camera and the 4 pins is not.

That is not so simple. As MY18 only with rear camera has 6 pins. Both ICT and ICTP. They do not have camera control module. If you have camera control module (that is 360) then you have only four wires, but cameras do have 6 pins. When comparing to MY17 it is different as it has always camera control module and four wires, but 6 pin cameras in only rear camera and 360 cameras.

Thanks for clarification, seems the only wants know for sure what you have is to have a look at the camera.

I suspect the difference may be 360 camera's having a higher resolution? This way the electronics determine what part of the FOV to show and still maintain decent quality.

For example my side camera's display 3 different views depending on what I'm asking it to do;

Junction view, kerb view, and 360 degree.

A FM has sent me a PM asking how easy it was to remove the camera, I have replied to him but thought I would post the reply here too.

it is relativly easy, remove the trim covering the hinge arms and locking mechanism and remove the boot closure button if you have one. then remove the plastic expanding rivets, use a good fitting screwdriver so you dont have to put much weight behind it or they will just spin and not unscrew. the trim panel will just fall away.
As someone else mentioned there is not a lot of slack cable for the camera, but you have to reach up to where the camera/boot button is and feel for the tabs that are holding it, squeeze then to release the panel with the camera and button. from here you can release the cables for the button and camera.
The camera is held in place by peice of plastic that is snapped into place, release the plastic peice and the camera can be removed.
