LHD Doors left side not flush

Post by Xephil » Sun Mar 11, 2018 8:07 pm

Am I the only one with doors that need(ed) some adjustment?

The front left door is sooo close to the front fender that it almost touches the fender when opening it.

The rear door is a bit close to the rear fender which in sum causes a gap between front and rear door, that you almost could stick a finger in between.

Also the doors on the left side are not really flush (in line).

The hood isn't perfect either, but good enough.

The british side (right side) is perfect. Seems like an apprentice or trainee mounted the doors on the left side :-/

Is it possible to fix this? The car will be at the dealer in a few weeks anyways.

Hi Xephil,

Yes, of course it should be possible to have the doors and the bonnet adjusted and aligned perfectly. It's doable.

I had a similair problem, the front LHD was proud of the car shutline, the dealer readjusted it to fit perfectly into the door frame and make the shutline down the left side match all the way. But it should have been spotted at the factory
