My dealer (Hursts) must do a good job. Before purchase, looking at all the cars in the showroom, panel alignment was one of the things that impressed me. Certainly, my (new) XE is fine.

To solve some minor issues concerning the alignment I have an appointment at an on aluminum specialized mech/garage.

I am ready to pay for it, since I am tired of discussing the issues with my dealer.

The right side fender needs some bending up in front, But actually it already is much better now, than before.

I wasn't really happy with the result I achieved. So I went to a place specialized on fixing body issues on Teslas and Jaguars.

Well, they removed Part No. T4N13272 from my R-Sport. Now everything is flush.

Interesting:

This catalog doesn't even list the part for the R-Sport

https://parts.jaguarpalmbeach.com/a/Jag ... 70015.html

But it does for the other variants

https://parts.jaguarpalmbeach.com/a/Jag ... 70010.html

You won't find this part No. 9 (T4N13272) for the R-Sport. Strange.

Sorry to resurrect this but i'm having a few issues with the bonnet on my used XE i picked up last year.

It was out of alignment when i bought the car and the dealer apparently sorted it before collection. Just before the 2yr service i had to top up the washers so popped the bonnet and then found the offside latch wouldn't lock in properly. After numerous attempts to get it to latch it finally took slamming the bonnet hard from about 18 inches open to get it to engage. I notified the dealer and their inspection 'fixed' it again, stating the wing was loose...

Rather stupidly, i assumed they had done the job properly - but after they managed to make a total hash of the post service 'valet' that required me to complain and pay for a proper job to fix the mess i tried the bonnet again and guess what - i still have to slam it shut.

So, is that normal or can you drop it or even push it closed to latch? I tried pushing it before and i was in danger of leaving a ruddy great dent!

Cheers
Nat

You need to use the "drop" method on the XE.
About 9"- 12" then drop it.
Sounds noisy but works and is in the manual in the maintenance section ....."closing the bonnet".
