No, but the pull lever is in the most ridiculous place, buried in the passenger footwell, which you don't have access to from drivers side (unless you have 6 foot long arms), and consequently if I am parked in a garage with not much room on the passenger side, I have to stop outside and get out open bonnet and then drive into garage. I am currently working on an electrified version, mk1 worked quite well, am working on the fixing of device at moment.

It can sometimes help to have someone press down sharply on the front of a stuck bonnet while you operate the lever. It's usually enough to free the catch, which will need cleaning and lubricating if so.

Totally agree with this. I had no choice yesterday but to stretch over and reach it. I've had back ache ever since. An electric version would certainly be helpful. Why not a totally electric opening bonnet (hood), like the boot (trunk). Something else to go wrong, or not work unless all the parameters are met?

Another thing that annoys me extremely is that I cannot roll the car back just a few inches without starting it up, as there's no way to get it out of park.

You can get it into neutral with a lever under the bonnet (as I discovered when they loaded it onto a recovery truck three times)

I have started Mk1 of of a different approach, using a solenoid direct to bonnet catch, looks doable, if I keep car :x
