Glove Box light sensor

Post by WhoRu » Tue Jan 01, 2019 12:00 pm

So whilst trying to route some dash cam wiring around the back of my passenger side glove box, I seem to have knocked the light sensor from it's locator at the back of the glove box. I can't see how it fits back on or where. Any ideas? It's the little push button thing that senses if the glove box is open or closed and switches on the glove box light accordingly. At the moment it's just dangling, so I've had to pull the bulb out for the time being. I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I can't find any info on here or any other t'internet site. Would much rather fix myself rather than a trip to Jag. Any help would be appreciated.

Pop the glove box out (there is a maintenance guide for pollen filter replacement on the X260 XF on a different fourm, procedure is the same on X760 XE) and all will become clear

Thank you Marks_DTM. Will have a look for that and see how I get on.
