Tyre pressure monitor

Post by Beatleboy » Mon Nov 13, 2017 1:03 pm

Over the last few weeks the tyre light has been illuminating on instrument panel ,sometimes it says front left tyre is low sometimes front right is low. On checking pressures all are ok. If you park the car up for a while and start up light goes out and sometimes stays out for a few days then comes back on again ....Has anyone else had this problem I was wondering if it was related to temperature as I never had this problem during the warm summer months.

Common problem at this time of year when the weather gets colder. Your pressures are probable very close to the warning pressure so when the tyres are cold it triggers the alert.

I wait for a very cold day and when the car has been standing for a few hours take a reading and inflate them all by a couple of pounds.

I have to say that the wheel rim design is perfect – formed perfect tyre seals to my Dunlops that didn’t leak an atom of air in their entire 2 yr/20k life.
