Steering problems

Post by Train7Man » Fri Mar 09, 2018 9:29 pm

I have recently had a bad smash, which required the car having to have a complete new side. After I have received the car back have not been happy with the steering. In particular the steering seems to stiffen up, around being centred. Therefore needs effort to go over the 'notch' when moving out of centre. in particular when changing lanes. Also when changing lanes the leading whee;l oscillates when going over the cats eyes etc.

Have had it checked twice but testing is 'cold', and steering is okay.

Am I going Mad ??

My thought on reading this was that it may be the lane departure warning - it waggles the steering wheel - try driving with it switched off.
