Winter Wheel Transport & TPMS

Post by BLZeebub » Fri Oct 11, 2019 2:45 pm

Afternoon All,

Ive found a set of winter wheels but they need collection.

Has anyone got any ideas on what the TPMS situation will be as there will be 2 sets on/in the car!

I'm hoping that once fitted the car will pick up the winters but whilst travelling the 200 mile round trip there will be 2 lots of sensors in the vicinity for the journey back.

Cheers
Nat

I don't think we have had this before!
Hopefully it won't cause any problems but the readings could be a bit astray until you get home.

I had no problems transporting my winter wheels back from the tyre fitters last year. They were in the boot and on the folded down rear seats.

Once the wheels were swopped the car just picked them up, so no problems there either.

Agreed, I had the same experience, winters on the car and summers IN the car transporting home. No problems, the car picked up the winter wheels fitted straightaway.

Shouldn't be a problem as the ones in the back of your car won't be spinning and won't be close enough to the receivers.
