£250 for all 4 wheels is ridiculously cheap so will be amazing value if they are bang on. Big business now alloy wheel refurbishment and my local guys suggest that people are still going mad for black alloys. He’s doing lots for the local BMW dealership who’s customers are requesting painting the wheels black from new. I’m still not convinced about black, traditional diamond cut still my preference but a mare to maintain but each to their own.

I check my wheels every wash and so far have been lucky to avoid white worm. I usually polish them with the same Autoglym polishes as the bodywork. I wonder if that some way helps by keeping them clean and salt free in the winter.

Just spoke to my powdercoater and all things being equal I should have them back tomorrow.

I didn't go fae a mad colour or anything like that but I will hopefully post pics tomorrow. As I said before, the guy is highly regarded on by subaru and audi clubs up here so I'm nae expecting any issues :D

As mentioned, got the propeller wheels back today and I'm very much impressed. The work was carried out by Customised Coatings who are based in Newmachar. The job was priced at £250 and Duncan was good to his word. I would really recommend Duncan and his team and I think he does do mail order. https://customisedcoatings.co.uk/
They have many colours to choose from but I didn't want anything too outrageous so went for anthracite which with the speckles in it stand out quite well. Would I have gone for diamond cut? Yes without question, but the clear coat will fail and I don't need the hassle and annoyance of having to get them redone.
Time for a couple of wee pics 😉

Looks good. I like the colour and it’s different and looks like a nice job.
