Evening All

Post by Eman » Wed Aug 07, 2019 9:33 pm

After many years of having an XF (3.0d) I have finally decided to exchange for an XE due to get it on 1st August it’s a 2016 portfolio and just hoping it is as good as the XF which has over the last 5 years averaged 34.4 mpg at a running cost of £0.18 per mile not including tax & insurance.

Hi Eman, what engine did you go for a diesel or petrol ? XE's are where it's at, I'm sure you'll love it

Just noticed post should of said get the car on 1st September. Went for diesel again only concern I have is regarding noise as in the xf all on to tell it is a diesel when inside car, thought xe was noisier when test driving but reality is xf is getting on in years etc 1 plus side is road tax is a lot cheaper. Counting the days down now.

Well I've owned both a petrol and diesel now and can hardly tell the sound difference inside the cabin so you should be all good !

Strange that, I had an XF diesel on loan for 24 hours and it sounded distinctly gruff compared to my petrol XE.
