Hi guys,

I took delivery of my 2016 XE last week, and I love it!

First of all, it looks sensational, and I'm blown away by the performance! In other cars, 'dynamic' mode is a gimmick, but in the XE, it really does change the car, it's amazing!

One thing I've noticed though, is what sounds like the AC coming from the dashboard when the engine is on. It's not the AC though - is this right, or does it sound like a fault?

When I stop at the traffic lights for example, and the Start/Stop engages, the 'AC / breathing' sound stops, then kicks in again when the engine re-engages.

It's not an annoying noise - as I say, it's like the calm flowing of air that an AC unit gives when it's on low. I just wanted to check if this is normal, or if I need to get it checked out.

It's a 2016 Petrol 200bhp XE R Sport.

Cheers

I think your fans are set to auto and what you are hearing is them working correctly. Go into Climate on your screen and look at the settings for screen, centre and feet. If any of those are highlighted then the fans will send air to that area. When S/S interupts the engine at a stop these will slow and sometimes go off. As soon as the car starts then the fans are reinstated.
