Hi from Glasgow

Post by jamesg » Thu May 30, 2019 6:01 pm

Hello from Glasgow :D
I have just ordered a factory build XE from Pentland Jaguar through CarWow.

I was really surprised my local dealer Taggarts gave me a really bad trade in value for my current vehicle and wouldn’t entertain any discount on the new XE. I got a much better trade in value from Pentland and a 15% discount on the list price, I don’t know if that’s because I went through CarWow.

Car I’ve ordered is a P250 S in Narvik black with the following extras:
Heated front seats
Cold weather pack
Technology pack
40:20:40 rear seat

This is the third time I’ve went for a factory build, each time I swear I’ll never do it again because the wait is just too awful lol

No idea when the car will be delivered :o

Cheers,
Jim

Welcome Jim! Out of interest, is that Pentland Perth or Edinburgh? I was tempted to go with Perth myself, Taggarts Glasgow low-balled me on my trade-in as well (actually offered me less than WeBuyAny...)

Thanks for the welcome, I’m driving a C class estate sport at the moment. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, gutless engine, dreadful 9 speed gearbox but the interior is nice and I like the practicality of the estate (golf bag lol). The other half hates it so it has to go

It’s Pentland Perth, I didn’t know there was another. Strange, Taggart was also less than Webuy.... by £500, Pentland was £1500 more. Taggarts sent me a financial quote that I actually laughed at
