Awaiting to collect my XE...

Post by Webby86 » Thu Apr 30, 2020 2:59 pm

Afternoon all,

Maybe it's lockdown and the fact I've been bored searching cars, or maybe it's the fact I think my car looks a bit old and I'm fed up of getting 17mpg (Range 4.2 V8 Supercharged) but I've just taken the plunge and bought:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... 000&page=1

Awaiting the MOT and service to be done but likely to collect next week. This will be my 2nd Jaguar, the 1st is a sad story of me owning a XF S Portfolio 13 plate in a colour I think was custom (but I loved it), only for me to be taken out by a lorry 6 days later on the M1 doing 18k of damage to the front end and therfor killing that off.

I think I'm excited but also thinking did I need to lay down money when there isn't actually anything wrong with the current motor! Anyway hello all, anything I should be aware of? I'll scour the forums, about to order the clear rear film for sills and boot though for those stone chips.

It looks lovely and I don’t think you will be sorry. With my sensible head on it will save money on fuel costs and be much easier to get into a parking space. I had the pleasure of doing a track experience in a 340S and in the hands of my instructor it was awesome. It has a phenomenal cornering ability, always feels planted and is great fun to drive enthusiastically. Enjoy your new car when it arrives.
