I finally took and downloaded update for my jag.
How long does it take for the complete installation?
About 15 minutes.
Keep the engine running until it's done as the car can shutdown otherwise.
You can drive the car whilst it's happening but nav won't be available.
I normally sit in the car at home as the first couple of times it stopped for some reason after a few minutes and had to start again so keep an eye on it.

Wot PhilB said...

I updated mine the weekend before last, having waited until I was heading out on a run, because I'm too mean to leave it ticking over for a quarter of an hour wasting petrol

It updated no problem, but I was pleasantly surprised that I still got the speed camera warnings while it updated :o

I'm not sure people realise but it also bongs on ATS cameras too.
Which is nice.

ATS cameras?

Not an abbreviation I recognise - Automated Traffic Signal camera, perhaps...

Thinking about it, I had noticed the bong for red light cameras, but hadn't particularly thought about it, as I do stop when required at traffic lights :)

Yes, apologies.
I should have said Traffic light Cameras.
I only noticed at a roundabout down the road from me when it was bonging after they put in the trafiic light cameras.

Probably a daft question - but presumably you have to have the satnav on to get the bong warnings of cameras etc? In other words - can you just have the sat nav screen on - but not actually navigating a route?
Corris Grey 180D R sport - loving it.

You don’t even need the satnav screen active or be navigating a route and the warning will sound.

Thank you kindly for that - must need to enable in sat nav settings.
