I dont think there are OEM side mouldings. Generic ones would look horrid. Dont ruin yout XE.
Try instead to park away from other cars. Try end of the row or next to a building to minimise the risk.

The usual supermarket plonkers are the ones that park as close to the entrance as possible and that is the place where you will encounter more chance of damage. I am lucky in that my wife has a blue badge and when she is with me we can use the bigger spaces. On my own and I park well away from the crowd as I am not allowed to use her badge. By the way she got her badge as a special dispensation after assessment by local council appointed physio examiners and does not get benefits from the state. The GP and two specialist Dr's also backed her application. It was a hard fought battle to get it and took over six months. Since then she has now got more spinal complications but refuses any outside financial help. Sorry gone off the point a bit here.

Just saw an ad on magnetic side mouldings. As others have noted they will not look good but the possibility for taking them off once leaving the supermarket car park would be a plus.

I believe the XEs doors are made of aluminium and therefore are not magnetic.

75% aluminium, the rest is steel and found in e.g. doors, boot lid and a piece of the floor under the rear seat. My MY 2017 has magnetic doors.

To try and settle this once and for all.
I just took a magnet to mine.
We have always known that the majority of the monocoque was aluminium to save weight and then the body was (partly) clad in steel.

My magnetic testing revealed: steel front and rear door skins, bootlid and bonnet.
We already know the front end is a huge lump of plastic.
Front and rear wings and roof gave no magnetic reaction so are probably aluminium.
Rear skirt is plastic like the front end.
