Mine arrived suddenly, even earlier than the dealer expected, it appears that after the build its usually 7-10 days to handover, so fingers crossed for you mash101, for an early Christmas present.

Cheers bob! Though I rather upset my other half this week when talking about Christmas presents with the in-laws and stated that all I wanted for Christmas was my Jaguar!

I am in the same boat, ordered my car on 29th Octobr and told will probably be a January build slot. Notification came through of build slot for Dec 7th with delivery January 18th. Now delivery to dealer is next week.
I was actually looking forwrd to the excitement of a new car in the new year to extend Christmas, now christmas will be more boring as the car will already be here and nothing can beat that.

Paul, see if you can get the dealer to gift wrap the car for christmas, and sing carols as you pick it up.

Nice christmas present to get though, Enjoy.

That's awesome news. The optimist in me is saying my dealer will also do this but isn't committing until everything is in place, but the pessimist in me is saying they may just be crap.

Build/ Delivery Date gaps tie in with my recent purchase.
Hope you get a similar experience to me, Dealer informed me that Jaguar had made a mistake on the build and included Zenon Headights £900 extra for free, not a bad early Christmas present.

Enjoy.

I too got the same as Dyfi...a "mistake" by Jaguar giving the Xenon's free of charge. I am so thankful....when compared to the standard lights they are very much better. Seems a not too uncommon issue....a chap I met on the factory tour and kept in touch with after we got our XE's had exactly the same.

Sounds to me like a supply issue somewhere along the line!

Hmmm. Update from my dealer is that ‘as far as I know the car was built’. But apparently it’s still due January because of Christmas shutdown.

I have asked him to go and confirm it has been built, that they’ve called it off, and what the delivery date is into them. I’m worried that he doesn’t know whether it has been built or not. Maybe he or the dealer has met their sales figures this quarter and want mine to go through in Jan. :|

Surprise, surprise! My sales person is now out of the office until Christmas! The fact he replied to my Saturday morning email twenty minutes before closing on Sunday, his last day, makes more sense now to my cynical mind... :|
