On the basis of reports in other threads on this Forum (e.g. Stop / Start - A few thoughts), I wouldn't go down the C-Tek route. Instead, I'd rather replace the battery with a more powerful 90 or 95Ah one.

I tend to agree with that Stephen, as it has been a cure for my S/S system to work every time within the makers parameters and it does makea small addition to MPG giving me around 5-10 mpg more for similar journies when it wasn't kicking in.

Hmmm! I've not seen that yet, but then I'm petrol, and I certainly wouldn't complain about the MPG I'm getting compared to my old X-Type. Concur that the batt seems to have an impact, but you do need to take it and have the charge module re-set if you change it yourself.

I have a Ctek charging port hard wired to the + side of the battery and upstream of the - terminal. I can then, every so often give it a boost. This keeps it in fully charged condition and should prolong the life of the (expensive) AGM battery.

I have a dash cam hard wired into a fuse. It hasnt prevented the SS from working although I tend to turn it off as it serves no purpose. It will always activate if left on though :)
I am in the market for a Ctek Charger for my XE Can you show a pic of your charging port please.?
I noticed your post when reading this thread. My dealer fitted this port for me.
It takes me next to no time to put my battery on charge.

Consider fitting a Ctek comfort connection. Then easy to plug in without lifting the boot floor & fiddling with croc clips.

Is it OK for the Ctek power lead to be "trapped" by the closed (and double locked) boot lid?
