So the Blackvue cameras seem popular. I'm guessing this is due to their size and not necessarily their price point.

I've used Blackvue forever...

DR600
DR650
DR750
and now the DR900S

Worth the money....and very discreet.

I have Viofo A119 front and back. I use "Dashcam Viewer" software which shows GPS and map information as well as the video. Both of my Viofo A119 version 1 models failed (maybe related to heat) but so far the version 2 models have been OK. Using the optional GPS attachment insulates them a little from direct sunlight. I have fixed the front camera to the back of a road pricing transponder to further insulate it. Its easy to take the wires back to the boot by pushing them into the edge of the roof trim which is not fixed at its sides. I took the power supply feed from an always on connection in the rear fuse box via a low voltage cut out.

I’m definitely a fan of the camera being discreet.

What I find really annoying is the fact that the bloody car comes with both a forward and rear facing camera 😬

But both need some sort of mini windscreen wipers !

I was initially drawn to the Blackvue DRS9000s 2 channel based largely on cosmetics - in the pictures, at least, it looked the most unobtrusive of the choices out there.

After a chat with the seller, outlining my requirements, he offered some refreshingly impartial advice ending in me opting for the Thinkware F800 Pro 2 channel at rather less cost.

I have no complaints with the Thinkware, it certainly did its job in my recent prang detailed in another thread.

Now: XE R-Sport 300 AWD, Corris Grey, 19" black venoms, Black Pack, sunroof, Meridian 380, other stuff.

I have the Thinkware F770 (2 channel). Very pleased with it. Fitted it myself (hardwired) fairly easily but then I'm fairly comfortable with electronics.
What I like about it most (apart from the footage quality - especially at night) is how subtle it is. I'm sure most people, who who I give a lift to,
don't even notice it.
