Post by ZigZag18 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:12 am

Hi All

I keep getting an intermittent DEF Low message - usually when i start the car - what im not getting is the full warning or any countdown - anyone else experienced this ? not sure if i should just top it up anyway....

Thanks

If you are getting it intermittent then it may be to do with an almost point to fill depending on the angle the car is parked at. I suggest getting it topped up so you are not put in the position of car will not start mode. It is now readily available at most garages and in supermarkets. If you still have a warranty it may be covered free under those terms of the warranty, from the dealer.

Thanks Vespa - im new to the adblue lark - does the filler cap still need the wheel brace in an XE or is it a simple un-screw ? I'll grab some and top it up...

I have been able to undo it by hand. I think the square drive section is handy if it is firm home but be careful not to crack it. No doubt replacement caps will cost in excess of £80 under the Jaguar joke price sheet for parts.
