I think it is satire, not personal.

Yes, I think it's the thought of some brave soul stepping up and "taking one for the team" to use an American expression.
:D

One thing has struck me is that this applies to MY16 to MY18 ?
Haven't seen anybody who has a MY19 (2018 onwards) complaining about lack of performance........?
If it knocks a couple of tenths off your 0-60 time then is it really a big deal in the real world?

That is the very question we would all like an answer too - good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Perhaps I am missing something - but why the laughter at my comment?
It just appears that everyone is waiting for someone else to have it done before themselves. I just read that as "go on, you be the guinea pig", and thought it was a funny comment.

I took my car in for its second service this morning. I asked the service manager if my car was affected by the emissions issue and was told that it was not. He also said that it was mainly the petrol engine that was affected, so I was a little surprised that mine was not included. However, I am happy with this news. I have an E Pace as a loan car and must say it goes pretty swiftly and it's a lot easier to get in and out of, but I think I still prefer my XE.

Bazzamf - I tried a 200BHP petrol E-Pace, and thought it was quite slow compared to my XE 240. Also it felt rather bulky on the road. In the end, I've gone for an Evoque p250, which has a much nicer interior and is generally better to drive. It's my old fart's XE, in effect. I'm hoping to keep it for a good while. I think I will miss the XE, but as I'm getting rather ancient, I think the change is inevitable. Perhaps I will have to learn to switch off the Stop/Startf in the new car when it finally comes!

I came back to my car last week to find an E-Pace parked next to it.
Funny looking thing, looking like it had been pumped up like a balloon.
Had really big doughnut tyres on it too (16" maybe ?).

As regards the Evoque, I'm planning on leaving the S/S on and seeing how much that big slug of torque from the hybrid affects the take off !

I haven't tried a full-bore launch yet - I've only done 1250 miles in the first four weeks

But there really doesn't seem to be any shortage of power anyway

Still, today is the first day of my retirement, so I'll have to get it run in fairly soon!

I would add that the Stop/Start seems reasonably enthusiastic, (although it hasn't annoyed me yet!) but this is the first motor I've had with S/S, so I don't have anything for a proper comparison.
A Portfolio 300, in Caesium Blue. With more toys than you can shake a stick at!

Mines booked in for the first service and upgrade end of next month. Someone might as well take the plunge.
I've had my recall notice as well. It's due its service mid June, so I'm doing nothing until then. I'll be very interested to find out how you go on. Thanks.

So, as my car is a company car through a leasing company, I do not have the option of refusing the recall. So, now booked in for the 2nd May.
