The certainly don't measure NOx or CO² during the MOT test. There is no way they can reissue a V5 with corrected CO² figures, simply wouldn't happen.

I suspect my car had an update when it was in late last year as the AdBlue consumption seems to have rocketed. I used to get 10,000 miles between fill ups. I seem to get between 3,000 to 5,000 for my 10 litres now.
My suspicions were correct. My warning has come on again after less than 5,000 miles. That's 20 litres of AdBlue in less than 10,000 miles for a 65 plate.

They have definitely performed an update on the ECU. I'll be honest my fuel consumption has also changed. On motorway journeys I can easily now achieve over 63mpg, once 75mpg on a 220 mile continuous journey (av speed just under 70). This is an improvement. However off the motorway the fuel consumption has increased, I notice this on my daily commute. The car also seems to regenerate the DPF more frequently, I noticed it was doing it today. When you open the boot after stopping you can smell the fumes.

Start/stop still works but I'm in a manual so it doesn't bother me at all.

One other point to note is that the fuel consumption figures Vs real life are now further apart. If over a tank I average 57mpg, the computer will say 60 - 62mpg. It's very obvious as I'm pretty much always filling up with 10 gallons so you can just check the mileage between fill ups. I would really struggle to get over 600 miles with mixed driving on the 47 litre tank.

I also noticed since the update the range figure after filling up is now massively optimistic. The highest I've seen is 760 miles. Maybe it is looking at the last journey rather than a wider timeline to calculate it.

This increase in Adblue usage is also similar to my usage now. I topped it up last weekend and have driven 250 miles and I topped it up again yesterday in one of my checking things modes and it took around 1 litr, possibly just a bit less but not much. In the 250 miles of driving (2 trips) I got an average of 57 mpg. Both trips included some fast roads and mainly slow "A" roads through Wales. I had a range of 484 on filling up on Sunday and now have a range of 432 after the drive.

Well the cat went in for the first service today ( under the £599 5 year service plan, so no bill for me today ) and had the software upgrade for the engine recall. Only driven about 25 miles home from the dealership, but, can't say i notice any difference. the acceleration feels the same, the stop/start still works, unfortunately, and the consumption was about the same as it was going there this morning. Obviously it has only been one trip and i will have to see if i notice any long term difference. On a side note had a pretty decent 30T R Sport to drive for the day.

My car is in the middle of these VIN Nos and my dealer told me last month that they had no record of this issue on my car and there's nothing on TOPIX.

Thanks for the info. My service is due middle of June so I'll let post my findings after that. Incidentally, I was told that although they can't force you to have it done, it would affect the warranty if you didn't have it done. The two year unlimited mileage warranty was one of the reasons I was attracted to buy my first Jaguar, so no real choice in the end.
White R Sport 30t AWD MY 2018. A bit scary tbh!!

The 300hp jobby?
Don't think so.
I seem to recall a chat on here that when it was introduced (spring 2018 as in MY19 ?) that all petrols had PPF's (Petrol Particulate filters) fitted from the factory around that time.
This whole saga is beginning to remind me of the "Millenium Bug".
Suddenly.........................................nothing happened.

Good to know the 300 probably isn't affected

But the difference with the Millenium bug is that nothing happened because a lot of geeks put a lot of effort into making -sure- that nothing happened :)

No, I wasn't one of those geeks, but a lot of folks I went to science fiction conventions with at the time were!
